About me
Nick's life work is to ensure every person has the opportunity to reach his/her full potential. Nick is the founder and lead listener at Humanistic Leadership LLC where he supports leaders, teachers, and learners in all facets of education. He brings experience working in traditional and non-traditional forms of education, coaching, leading from Maine to Alaska. He is a past school founder, teacher, director and governance board member. Nick often leans on his experience as a wilderness guide to support individuals and organizations around inner work, trust, and growth through conflict. We cannot summit the mountain without our people! He has discovered that leadership and governance coaching is needed more now than ever in our schools and organizations as they strive to implement their unique vision and mission in a dynamic and ever-changing world. Listening, supporting, and inspiring leaders is his jam. He loves to talk about innovative and humanistic ways to ensure equity of voice, shared commitment, and organizational conditions that set everyone up for success. He "geeks out" when coaching individual leaders or leadership teams especially when he has the opportunity to partner with them through culture transformation. When not supporting educational organizations and leaders, Nick is extremely fortunate to spend his time with his wonderful wife, two amazing daughters, and their yellow lab.
